Looking for a meaningful way to make a difference for people facing cancer? Host your own fundraising event to benefit Gilda’s Club Wisconsin and help us keep our programs free for those who need them most.

Cancer Support Matters

More than 16.9 million people in the U.S. have been touched by cancer, and 39,000 new cases are expected in Wisconsin this year alone. Between 30–50% of patients experience emotional distress as a result of diagnosis and treatment. Gilda’s Club provides vital support that can improve treatment outcomes and quality of life—completely free to members.

By creating your own fundraiser, you help ensure that families, children, and adults affected by cancer continue to have access to emotional support, education, and community connection when they need it most.

Donate Your Birthday

In honor of Gilda Radner and YOU (!) we invite you to donate your birthday on Facebook to Gilda’s Club!

How do I host a Facebook Fundraiser? 

Anyone can create a Gilda’s Club fundraiser on Facebook! It’s easy and doesn’t require you to do any collection of funds or transfer them to the club. Once you set it up, it all happens automatically.

A lot of people set up fundraisers on their birthday, wedding anniversary, or the anniversary of their last cancer treatment. You can encourage people to give to Gilda’s Club instead of purchasing a gift for you. If you don’t want to support us on your birthday, save the date and host a fundraiser on Gilda Radner’s birthday: June 28!

Here’s how you do it:

To create a fundraiser for a charitable organization, visit this page on Facebook or follow these steps:

  1. Click Fundraisers in the left menu of your News Feed.
  2. Click Raise Money.
  3. Select Nonprofit or Charity.
  4. Select Gilda’s Club Wisconsin as your charitable organization, choose a cover photo, and fill in the fundraiser details.
  5. Click Create.
