Updated Response to COVID-19
(Updated January 31, 2026) As we continue to navigate life after the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gilda’s Club Wisconsin remains committed to providing safe, welcoming support, education, and social connection for people impacted by cancer. While much has changed, COVID and other respiratory illnesses can still pose a serious risk for people living with cancer and those who are immunocompromised.
We continue to offer programs in person, virtually, and in hybrid formats. This flexibility allows members across Wisconsin, and those who may be feeling unwell or unable to travel, to stay connected and supported. We also rely on our community to help keep one another healthy.
To help maintain a safe and supportive environment for our members, many of whom are immunocompromised, Gilda’s Club Wisconsin asks everyone to follow these precautions:
As always, members, volunteers, and staff who are feeling ill should not come to the clubhouse. We strive to reduce the spread of illness caused by bacteria and viruses in order to protect those who are most vulnerable and the people who care for them.
Gilda’s Club Wisconsin will continue to provide virtual access to short-term one-to-one counseling and group support.
If you have tested positive for COVID or have had a close exposure, please refrain from attending in-person activities at the clubhouse for at least five days after your last negative test.
Mask use is optional in public areas of the clubhouse and during programs. Masks are available at the greeter desk. We strongly encourage masking if you are feeling uncertain about your health.
If you have attended the clubhouse and later become ill or learn that you are positive for COVID, please notify us as soon as possible at program@gildasclubwi.org so we can follow up and notify others who may have been impacted.
We may adjust safety practices as needed in the best interest of our community.
Please reach out to us with any questions, and refer to the online program calendar if you are unsure whether a program is offered in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format.
Cancer does not take a break, and neither does Gilda’s Club. Thank you for being an important part of keeping our community healthy.eak, and neither does Gilda’s Club. Thank you for being an important part of keeping our community healthy.
